PENTICTON V'S BLOG SHEDS LIGHT ON PORT ALBERNI "SYSTEMIC" ISSUES

Thank you anonymous for sending the following link to our readers:

Bryant Perrier made this statement following Sunday’s news

We hesitate to draw conclusions for our readers, but one cannot help but see a correlation between Alan Kerr's dismissal as GM, Perrier's complaints of having his hands essentially tied through early season (November timeframe), a lawsuit against Alan Kerr, James Kerr being traded immediately following the conclusion of the lawsuit and Perrier's mention in his press conference about the improvement regarding his freedom to make decisions (Line-ups, player ice time etc.) and the subsequent improved performance of the team (November timeframe).

There is definitely more to this story and our pursuit of the facts is steadfast.  If any of our readers could shed some light by providing inside scoop, we would greatly appreciate the information.

Alan told me personally the reason James went to Vernon was because Port Alberni had no chance of making a playoff run and Vernon did. He was pretty casual about the whole thing. Funny he didn't mention getting his ass sued for favoritism, constantly trying to run the show at Port Alberni, and getting his ass fired. I'm shocked Alan wasn't more forthcoming. All of this stuff is posturing including Perriers comments to not be black balled in the future. Typical business posturing. Its a shame non of them have the balls to tell the unvarnished truth. Oh, yeah excuse me I just realized I was talking about OHA. My bad.

Answer this.... Why did OHA first publish a story on the OHA website about James going to Vernon Vipers only to pull it down after a day or two?

It was on their web site less then a day.

sounds like there is definitely more going on here.

its obvious that Perrier was told to build his offence around James Kerr. That is the kind of power they have but ultimately it is taking OHA downhill fast.

A lawsuit eh? That's funny because I'd love to hear what the law is in regards to a player being played too much? Someone fill me in because obviously you are all so much more educated on this matter hahaha.

Here's a fact for you, they threw their release on James Kerr being traded, then having the league posture on approving the deal, so took it down out of prudence. Such a fishy story.

this is so funny you can't sue someone for favoritism,,,,or for working hard for that matter

I think that James Kerr is a VERY HARD worker and a dedicated hockey player not to mention a very nice young man. Everyone has to earn there ice time.

How stupid are some people? The lawsuit against Alan Kerr was for something completely different. Good luck trying to gets the facts on that though.

at least we have an admission now of a lawsuit. OHA coaches/owners are now frequent guests on the blog. Welcome to the party!

I think the fact that Alan Kerr had a lawsuit is as irrelevant as it gets. Its public record for anyone to take a look at. Since it had to do with a saw mill and the lumber industry, not sure what relevance there is here.

That's funny. He was sued by someone associated with the Bulldogs, was immediately fired as GM and James was traded. Maybe someone else was suing too and people can just get in line.

No worries, he'll be schmoozing parents at summer camp as he trolls for dollars to fund the development of his sons. He should gather up a few suckers, I mean Americans, to fund the program next year.

Same story with OHA and OHS every year. Reel in a bunch of parents to the summer program and then tell them their kids will play college hockey one day if they send their kid there at 30K plus a year for the next 3 or 4 years. Buyer beware. It's a big scam show starring Alan Kerr, Andy Oakes, Dixon Ward, and the list goes on and on. Like they say "It's good work if you can get it". Don't get reeled in. If you do you have nobody to blame but yourself.

Ok this is hilarious..someone keeps saying Alan was sued by someone associated with Port Alberni. Take a look, all lawsuits filed, whether they are dismissed by either the court or the plantiff show up in public record. There is no record of it..So where are you getting your fact?? Good work on trying to keep a rumor that holds no water going though.

that guy as dumb as he sounds????

I heard the settlement was quite nice too.

Again, this is absolutely hilarious. Someone please, please, please post a link to either the law that someone can break by playing a player to much or to the lawsuit details. If someone can find it then by all means post it please. There is a searchable database you can take a browse through in the bc supreme courts or vancouver courts.
